Sunkel Plumbing is looking for an experienced, reliable, and professional plumber to work full time. Our plumbers do more than make house calls—they use their expertise to develop customer solutions to complex plumbing and drain problems.
Our service plumbers diagnose and repair plumbing issues and guide customers toward confident, well-informed buying decisions. This is part of delivering WOW service. Sunkel Plumbing has been serving McLean County for over 60 years as a family-owned residential service business.
Job Duties:
- Act with dignity, respect, and professionalism toward customers and employees.
- Respond to service requests, establish strong customer connections, and build trust.
- Accurately diagnose plumbing issues, perform drain cleaning, and related services.
- Provide upfront pricing and collect payment upon job completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site, service van, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure proper working order of all company property.
- Uphold our clean-cut, professional, trustworthy company image.
Requirements:
- 5+ years plumbing service and drain experience with valid IL plumbing license.
- Professional appearance, friendly personality, and customer-first attitude.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Integrity and ability to build solid connections with customers and team members.
- Clean criminal background.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Motivated, coachable, and driven to succeed.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and assist with maneuvering heavier items using proper equipment.
- Able to climb ladders and work in small crawl spaces.

Job Duties:
- Act professionally with customers and team members.
- Assist with diagnosing plumbing issues and performing repairs.
- Learn drain cleaning and other in-home plumbing services.
- Support senior plumbers with job preparation and completion.
- Maintain job site cleanliness, tools, and service vehicle.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
Requirements:
- Eagerness to learn the plumbing trade.
- Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, honest, and hardworking.
- Clean criminal background.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
